I can see UniCenta is a great piece of software but it's lacking in great documentation. I may have to send the attachment in another note - as SourceForge is not liking me posting up this response with attachment included ATM) Sorry to be a pain. I just put together an attachment so you can see what I mean. IN my categories table - it seems to have somehow inserted what I'd call a GUID - into 2 fields - the ID and parentID field.Is that normal or have I somehow messed up? Also - where is there a UPC or 'barcode' field? I can't see it in Products table or any other.Īnd what is the point of the parentID field in category table - nested categories are not allowed so far as I know. Does it mean that if you have other fields in the csv aside from the 5 mentioned - it will concatenate the data in those other fields and insert them into 'barcode'? That seems too strange. If I have those 5 fields and no others - then an import should work? I guess barcode has to be a unique varchar?

One of the things that confuses me is that in the PDF file it says - " The CSV must consist of at least 5 columns.Code,Reference,Barcode,Buyprice,SellPrice." Then it also says ".Barcode: This dropdown will contain all the unused headers found in the CSV file. So I used Workbench and deleted those products attemptng to start from scratch. And it managed to fall over after that import. So far I've managed to import a whole ONE record out of the 4500 that I want to. And I'm having trouble using ExcelToMySQL and the unicentapos in-built csv file import utility. not have any data sets, consider copying one of the free open source data.
